The left’s ignorance on display in rioting for Palestine.
Many “pro-Palestine” demonstrations are juvenile and do not aim to persuade fellow Americans. Instead, they act out in ways guaranteed to annoy others.
This is the opposite approach taken by the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and other leaders of the Civil Rights Movement, who aimed at orderly and peaceful protests to appeal to the better angels of Americans’ souls.
Regarding the Queens kids, the riot has more to say about the state of New York City’s public-education system than anything larger. It’s evident those students are ignorant about the Middle East and were more seeking an excuse to rampage than to say anything meaningful.
The riot was fundamentally antisemitic, as they pounced on a Jewish teacher’s support for Israel as their grievance.
Those who keep shutting down bridges, subway stations, and the like are motivated by various causes, and they are close relatives of similar left-wing groups who aim to disrupt public events in an effort to create change in public opinion.
This flawed thinking is also evident in the left’s dominance of higher education and most of the culture, which has led them to be taught a fundamentally false narrative of how social progress occurs in the country.
Come to think of it, the lefties messing with your commute are actually more ignorant than those Queens high-schoolers because so much of what they have been taught is completely wrong.
