The ‘little devil’ exemplifies the chaos of New York’s laws

Once again, the 15-year-old Venezuelan migrant featured in Wednesday’s Post as a shocking member of the Tren de Aragua junior-varsity squad “Los Diablos de la 42” faced new charges after publication.

Sources revealed that the boy was arrested Tuesday night on accusations of brandishing a knife at a 34-year-old man at Ninth Avenue and West 35th Street on September 30th around 7 p.m. In this incident, the teen and a friend allegedly assaulted the victim, displayed a kitchen knife, and demanded his phone.

The victim managed to escape, and surveillance footage helped authorities identify the perpetrator.

This marks the “little devil’s” 11th arrest since April, yet he remains at large and is housed in taxpayer-funded shelters.

He is just one of around 20 “asylum seeker” minors in Los Diablos — the “devils of 42nd street,” known for their crimes in Times Square.

This particular diablo has been arrested for multiple first- and second-degree robberies, stealing phones and chains both on the streets and in the subway.

According to sources, he resides in the city shelter system, though not necessarily at the main Roosevelt Hotel where the gang operates and recruits.

The entire Diablos crew has been linked to at least 50 criminal incidents; they benefit from the state’s criminal-justice “reforms,” particularly the Raise the Age law, which obstructs charging under-18s as adults, regardless of their criminal history.

The reformed bail laws and city’s sanctuary policies also offer no help to curb their criminal activities.

Moreover, the court-mandated “right to shelter” ensures they have accommodations at the expense of taxpayers.

Additional privileges include using government-issued phones for communication and sharing about their unlawful exploits, as noted by Detective Bureau Assistant Chief Jason Savino.

New York’s political leadership prides itself on being “progressive,” yet their actions only contribute to increasing chaos.
