The nation benefits greatly from Republicans regaining control of the Senate
Apologies, Chuck Schumer: You are on track to become Senate minority leader as the Republicans regain control of the Senate.
This is great news for the country, especially with Donald Trump winning the White House.
The GOP had 49 seats going into the election, compared to the Democrats’ 51 (including independents caucusing with them), with a strong chance of gaining at least two more seats.
In West Virginia, Republican Jim Justice won the Democratic Senate seat left vacant by Sen. Joe Manchin, seemingly in a landslide victory.
In Ohio, Republican Bernie Moreno defeated Democratic incumbent Sherrod Brown, and Tim Sheehy is expected to oust Sen. Jon Tester in Montana, making it a total gain of three seats for the Republicans.
In Pennsylvania, GOP challenger Dave McCormick was ahead of Democratic Sen. Bob Casey, Eric Hovde was leading Dem Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin, and Mike Rogers led Elissa Slotkin in Michigan. In Nevada, Sam Brown was narrowly behind Democratic Sen. Jacky Rosen.
On the other hand, Democratic hopes of gaining seats plummeted.

Republican control of the Senate means strong support for the Trump agenda: maintaining politically neutral courts, addressing the migrant crisis, tax cuts, boosting energy production, controlling inflation, and accelerating economic growth.
This agenda aligns more closely with the desires of the average American, as indicated by polls.
Determining the control of the next House of Representatives may take time, but the GOP winning the Senate ensures the country won’t veer sharply left.
This is a significant victory regardless of the outcome of other races.
