As members of the Homeland Security Committee, we voted to send articles of impeachment to the House floor after a months-long investigation yielded significant evidence and witness testimony.
We urge the Senate to carefully consider these articles of impeachment to reveal the truth of this crisis to the American people.
As representatives from states greatly impacted by illegal immigration, we have witnessed firsthand the negative effects of Mayorkas’ actions.
New York, despite being far from the southern border, has experienced a surge in illegal immigrants, straining resources and causing budgetary stress.
Similarly, Texas has faced significant costs, property damage, and crime due to the influx of illegal immigrants, with tragic incidents such as the loss of innocent lives.
The blame for this crisis lies with Mayorkas, who has consistently ignored federal immigration laws and encouraged illegal immigration since taking office.
The impeachment of a high-ranking official like Mayorkas is not just about indictable crimes but also about abuse of power and harm to the nation, as evidenced by his actions.
The House presents evidence of Mayorkas’ misconduct, highlighting the need for a trial and his removal from office.
