The ‘shrinkflation’ scam in Joe Biden’s State of the Union

Since Joe Biden assumed office, the dollar’s purchasing power has decreased by 18%, resulting in the worst inflation in the United States since the Carter era.

However, this decline is overshadowed by a more pressing concern: snack companies are charging the same amount for smaller bags of potato chips with fewer chips inside, as pointed out by Biden on Tuesday.

Could this be the silver bullet the Biden re-election campaign has been searching for?

In his upcoming State of the Union address on Thursday, Biden is expected to condemn “corporate greed” vigorously.

The White House seems to believe that blaming corporate executives for shrinkflation will help regain the credibility of Bidenomics.

Shrinkflation—the practice of charging the same price for a smaller product—is being hailed as the Biden administration’s salvation.

Politico reported that the White House has been testing the shrinkflation messaging extensively through ads and internal polling.

A few years back, the White House was outraged by dissenters who responded to rising gas prices by putting “I Did That!” stickers featuring Biden’s face on gas pumps.

Could the White House now distribute stickers with the slogan “THEY DONE THAT!” depicting corporate executives to affix to grocery store checkout lanes?

The White House is urging Americans to view the president’s performance in a more positive light.

While Biden may have failed in privacy matters and First and Fourth Amendment rights, he is passionate about snacks.

Biden echoed Cookie Monster’s displeasure at smaller cookies at the same price and condemned companies for offering less for more.

But unlike the government, corporations can’t force people to pay for subpar services.

Does Biden believe that smaller cookies justify a larger federal government?

Will Biden create a new American Protective League to measure cookies nationwide?

In his 1928 campaign, Herbert Hoover promised “a chicken in every pot.” Will Biden’s re-election platform revolve around giant cookies for all?

Even the Obamas acknowledged the issue of mass obesity, contrasting with Biden’s focus on large cookies.

Biden’s drive for jumbo cookies could tie into a new health-care cost crackdown plan he might announce in his upcoming speech.

Biden claims that numerous companies have downsized products without adjusting prices, resulting in shrinkflation.

While the Bidenomics policies have led to various challenges, Biden seems reluctant to take responsibility for the economic disruptions he has caused.

The national debt continues to rise at an alarming rate, potentially leading to an economic crisis.

In his Super Bowl ad denouncing shrinkflation, Biden stated, “The American public is tired of being played for suckers.”

Will the biggest shrinkflation of 2024 be Biden’s dwindling vote count in November?
