The truth behind Democrats’ misconceptions about capitalism revealed by Trump’s victory

Donald Trump’s recent win has sparked reflections on a conversation I had with his close friend Bernie Marcus, one of the founders of Home Depot.

Exactly a year ago from his passing, Bernie, though frail, expressed his frustration at the leftist influence of the Biden-Harris administration and their threats to undermine capitalism, a cornerstone of America. Bernie was dedicated to preventing this and was actively supporting Trump’s campaign for president.

This was Bernie’s last major interview before he passed away, still fighting for his beliefs. He achieved great success in life, overcoming poverty and anti-Semitism to become a billionaire and influential philanthropist.

One of Bernie’s significant achievements was co-founding Home Depot, a shining example of how capitalism can benefit the average American.

This success was not achieved alone but with the help of friends like Ken Langone, a Wall Street legend and Bernie’s business partner. Ken, a son of a plumber, like Bernie, made his mark in the business world after facing his own challenges.

The Start of Home Depot

After Bernie was fired from Handy Dan, he sought Ken’s advice on a new business venture. Ken helped raise funds to start Home Depot, which has grown into a massive company over the years.

The business model Bernie and Ken adopted was focused on sharing the success with their employees and making them stakeholders in the company.

Success Stories

Many Home Depot employees, some starting at minimum wage, became millionaires through the company’s profit-sharing model.

On his deathbed, Bernie was confident in Trump’s victory and his contribution to it. He believed in Trump’s ability to uphold the values of America and capitalism.

The sight of a bustling Home Depot store, with hardworking employees and satisfied customers, is a testament to the success of capitalism, spearheaded by Bernie and Ken.

As Ken often says, capitalism is worth celebrating, just like Bernie Marcus.
