Trump’s Deportation Policies: Correspondence Analysis

The Concern: ICE has made a significant number of arrests since President Trump authorized deportation operations.

I stand behind President Trump’s swift and firm measures to deport illegal offenders. These individuals include rapists, murderers, and terrorists (“ICE arrests now top 7K,” Feb. 2).

It’s crucial to understand that all illegal immigrants pose an economic threat. Therefore, while targeting the most dangerous offenders first is reasonable, we must ensure that all illegal immigrants are apprehended and deported. It’s time to reclaim our nation.

Seeing ICE agents tear families apart reminds me of a past era marked by similar coldness, justified by the phrase “I was just following orders.”

Is this who we have become? Deliberately shattering families without a shred of conscience.

Regardless of whether you identify as MAGA or Communist, some actions are simply wrong.

The idea that local law enforcement are restricted from assisting ICE, even to detain and deport law violators, is truly baffling.

My proposal: compel all advocates of illegal immigration to welcome these offenders into their communities. I’ve observed that unless it affects you directly, it’s simple to be a sympathetic sanctuary supporter.

Illegal immigrants have broken our nation’s laws, often committing heinous acts against American citizens, including murder, rape, theft, and drug trafficking, among others.

Meanwhile, they receive benefits such as money, food, housing, phones, and much more than what is afforded to the American populace.

I am confident that we Americans made the right decision by electing President Trump and that his administration will succeed.

While the left argues that apprehending and deporting criminal illegals endangers democracy and undermines our core values, it becomes evident that one term best describes their relationship with our current situation: irrelevant.

In what kind of “democracy” do these individuals wish to inhabit — and what are their core values if not lawlessness, decay, and chaos?

The Concern: Reports indicate that illegal crossings at the southern border have plummeted by 90% since January 20.

The drop in southern border crossings by 90% under President Trump is a result of his decisive actions and rhetoric (“An open & shut success for Don,” Feb. 7).

It’s now clear to the American public that the deceitful former President Joe Biden could have achieved similar results. His claim that Republicans obstructed legislation preventing him from securing the border was, in his own terms, malarkey. Thanks to the disloyal Democrats, he has been sidelined.

Isn’t it astonishing that during four years of searching for answers, former Vice President Kamala Harris couldn’t identify a single root cause of illegal migration?

During this time, Alejandro Mayorkas seemed completely bewildered, and Biden appeared to be disconnected from reality. The entire Democratic Party maintained that nothing could be accomplished without “comprehensive immigration reform” throughout Biden’s presidency.

Yet, after just three weeks in office, President Trump managed to reduce border crossings by 90%. Leadership counts, results count, and the will of the American voter counts.
