Ukraine Requires Financial Assistance and Biden Must Assume Responsibility

Joe Biden’s audacity has no limits.

He spent trillions of dollars, causing inflation and harming ordinary Americans. Only after being prevented from further spending did inflation begin to ease — and Biden quickly went to a microphone to falsely claim credit for bringing it down.

For three years, Biden did nothing about the border, leaving it wide open to millions of people whose “asylum” claims are false. Three years of inaction, but now he blames Congress for failing to pass a bill he wants as a campaign ad.

Now, as Ukraine is forced to give up the city of Avdiivka, Biden again tries to shift responsibility elsewhere. “The idea that now we’re running out of ammunition — to walk away, I find it absurd. I find it unethical. So I’m going to fight to get them the ammunition they need,” he told reporters, as Congress debates a new aid bill.

But why is Ukraine struggling in the first place? Because Biden is more worried about “escalation” than actually winning. In the crucial first days of the war, Biden wouldn’t provide tanks, he wouldn’t provide certain missile systems. He still won’t provide fighter jets.

This isn’t about money, it’s about technology. Biden has given Ukraine just enough to fight to a stalemate. He’s allowed Vladimir Putin’s threats to drive our strategy.

By now, the Biden Agenda is clear. Dither on important issues. Fail to do something important. Then blame others for not cleaning up your mess.

We are strong supporters of backing Ukraine. If Putin isn’t stopped there, it will only embolden his mad dreams of a Russian Empire reborn.

But spare us the histrionics, Mr. President. This is on you. Yes, the aid bill should pass, but not to be thrown away on the status quo. Give Ukraine the arms it needs to win.

You say you’re “looking at a number of options” after Putin’s brutal murder of Alexei Navalny. Here’s an option: Help Ukraine destroy the Russian military machine.

Take responsibility. Act like a president and not a bystander to your own failure.
