Uncovering the Inspiration for Wu’s ‘People of Color’ Christmas Celebration

I strongly believe that regardless of race, we have more similarities than differences. However, powerful progressives in our government perpetuate the idea that these minor differences are enough to keep us apart. They reduce black people to stereotypes and promote the idea that we should only associate with people of the same race. This mentality is evident in the recent actions of Boston’s mayor, Michelle Wu.

Wu recently hosted a holiday party for “elected officials of color only,” and initially sent invites to only white lawmakers before rescinding them. She justified this by claiming it was a mistake, but the real issue is her use of her position in government to hold an exclusionary event under the guise of celebrating diversity.

Progressives like Wu preach inclusion while purposefully excluding people and promoting diversity while encouraging separation. The real reason for holding the minority-only Christmas party is not to create an inclusive space but to celebrate themselves and seek special treatment. This entitlement is also evident in their push for minority-only segregated classrooms and graduation ceremonies.

While most people see Christmas as a time to bring others together and express love for one another, these progressives see it as an opportunity to demand taxpayer-funded special treatment. They have an entitlement complex and a desire to rig the game in their favor. It’s difficult for non-progressive individuals to understand why even Christmas, a holiday of solidarity, requires a unique space for them to give thanks.
