We Will Safeguard NY Housekeepers from Exploitation!

Are there numerous members of Tren de Aragua working as maids in the Hamptons?

If that’s not the case, how does East Hampton Village Police Chief Jeffrey Erickson assure his residents that he won’t assist Immigration and Customs Enforcement in deporting their cleaning staff?

During Donald Trump’s presidency, ICE has been detaining illegal immigrants guilty of serious crimes such as rape, murder, and assault, yet somehow they were allowed to remain in the country.

This approach not only makes sense but is also widely supported by the American public.

To portray Trump negatively, Democrats have resorted to fabrications about his actions.

In Chicago, they alleged that ICE had conducted a raid at a school (they hadn’t). Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey claimed he needed to protect an undocumented migrant from raids (he didn’t).

The Hamptons’ declaration of “we will protect your domestic workers!” is merely another instance of performative politics.

No one is capturing immigrant workers who are law-abiding, as even East Hampton Town Police Chief Michael Sarlo acknowledged.

“I haven’t encountered an ICE agent in this town in ages,” he remarked.

Nevertheless, the East Hampton Town Board feels compelled to hold a two-hour public hearing to discuss something that is unlikely to occur, attempting to signal their moral superiority.

“I want to reassure everyone that this marks the start of a dialogue. It’s not just a fleeting statement to say, ‘We did our part, now let’s move forward,’” Councilwoman Cate Rogers asserted. “We’re invested. We’re your neighbors, and we stand with you.”

What a sight to behold. Wealthy liberals with million-dollar vacation homes comforting their housekeepers, whom they pay under the table, that they will shield them from immigration authorities—so long as it doesn’t conflict with events like Art Basel or Davos.

How dare Trump attempt to penalize the workers we take advantage of? That’s our prerogative!
