White House’s Absurd ‘War Politics’ Justification for Hunter’s Pardon Highlights the Biden Inc. Cover-Up Narrative
Is there no limit to Karine Jean-Pierre’s audacity? The White House press secretary defended President Biden’s pardon for Hunter on Monday, arguing it was warranted due to “how politically charged these cases were” and that “war politics distorted the process, leading to a miscarriage of justice.”
What nonsense.
Firstly, KJP previously asserted emphatically that Joe wouldn’t issue a pardon for Hunter — even after the First Son faced conviction.
Is she suggesting that this “political charge” suddenly emerged in the last two months?
Secondly, the prosecution was handled by the Biden Justice Department, yet she has failed to place any blame on Attorney General Merrick Garland for not curbing the “charge.”
If the “war politics” were so influential that they left the AG powerless, then that reality existed throughout the many months KJP was claiming the president would uphold the court’s decisions.
In truth, “war politics” — the Democrats’ drive to suppress the undeniable facts regarding Hunter’s (and his brother Jim Biden’s) multimillion-dollar foreign influence-peddling tied to Joe — has shielded Hunter for years.
It caused federal prosecutors to dawdle on these matters even before Joe assumed office; it motivated the 51 “intelligence agents” to discredit themselves by promoting the “Russian disinformation” narrative to downplay The Post’s laptop revelations ahead of the 2020 election; and it led Garland to oversee a farcical “investigation” that “accidentally” allowed the statute of limitations to lapse on Hunter’s most serious legal troubles.
Only after Republicans gained control of the House in 2022 and whistleblowers emerged to expose the coverup did Garland feel compelled to expedite the cases — and even then, Hunter was close to securing a plea deal that would have granted him the same immunity that Joe has now provided.
In essence, it was “war politics” shielding Hunter — and similarly propelling the flurry of prosecutions against Donald Trump, though Jean-Pierre will, of course, not acknowledge this glaring reality.
All of the Democrats’ “no one is above the law” rhetoric crumbled with the president’s misuse of his authority to elevate his son above legal accountability.
The argument that the Justice Department is somehow above criticism as long as Democrats oversee it is profoundly cynical — and Trump’s forthcoming efforts to eliminate all partisan actors in Justice are mischaracterized as “politicization.”
This blatant hypocrisy is just another factor contributing to voters handing Trump the White House and a Republican Congress.
On a positive note: This pardon ensures Hunter cannot invoke the Fifth Amendment when called to testify regarding his involvement in Biden Inc. corruption — and he may still face charges if found guilty of perjury after December 31.
The extensive nature of this pardon indicates that Joe Biden is aware a great deal of misconduct remains to be revealed; it’s imperative for Congress to continue investigating.
