Yahya Sinwar’s Death Preparations Reveal Hamas’ Lack of Interest in Ceasefire

Terrorist killer Yahya Sinwar did not desire peace at any point.

Recent reports indicate that as the search for him intensified, this ruthless killer instructed Hamas to reject any concessions from Israel after his death.

His reasoning was that the high number of civilian casualties would strengthen Hamas’ negotiating leverage against Israel.

He also wanted the group to establish a leadership council (likely similar to Iran’s) to ensure that Hamas never strayed from his brutal tactics and philosophy.

In essence, Hamas and its leader never intended to cease the killing of their own people and hoped it would persist even after his demise.

Pure evil. Yet, this was not unusual for Sinwar.

Each mass civilian casualty he caused only fueled his desire for more Palestinian deaths.

When the IDF captured his home compound late last year, the cowardly killer (then in hiding underground) boasted that “our fighters have shattered their army.”

As the war Sinwar refused to end continued into 2024, he openly advised his fellow Hamas members not to concede to the demands of Arab peace negotiators.

In March, he wrote in an internal Hamas communication that “We have to move forward on the same path we started” because Hamas was still winning in negotiations due to US pressure on Israel and domestic opposition in the Jewish state.

That is, he viewed the Biden administration’s pressure on Israel as a reason not to pursue peace.

It was always clear to anyone observing that Sinwar, Hamas, and their Iranian backers had no intention of ending the conflict.

Now, we have concrete evidence of this mindset.

This should silence the American leftists clamoring for “Ceasefire now!”

The terrorists they sympathize with don’t want that. They never did. The only ceasefire Hamas desires is for Israel to relinquish its statehood entirely.

This should expose Joe Biden’s policies as completely futile and prevent the White House from making that same irrational demand — although don’t hold your breath on that.

Biden has already urged Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to use Sinwar’s death as “an opportunity to seek a path to peace.”

How much will Washington go to protect these monsters? All indications suggest it’s: As far as you can imagine.

No matter how many innocent lives are lost.
