Amazon Delivery Driver in Critical Condition Following Attack by ‘Highly Venomous’ Snake in Palm City | US News

An Amazon driver was rushed to hospital in a “very serious condition” after a rattlesnake bit her on the leg.

The woman was dropping off a parcel at a home in Palm City, Florida, when the reptile sunk its teeth into her leg.

The Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake was coiled by the front door when the driver arrived on Monday.

As she walked to the door and put the package down, she was bitten in the back of the leg – just above the knee, authorities said.

After the attack at the gated community of Highland Reserve, she immediately fell ill but managed to call 911.

Emergency services were able to use her phone’s GPS to find her location.
