According to the New York Times, Joe Biden is considering running against Donald Trump in the upcoming US election in November.
Following last week’s first presidential debate, Joe Biden admitted that he “nearly fell asleep” during the event, with many commentators criticizing his performance. He attributed his lackluster showing to travel exhaustion from recent trips around the world prior to the debate.
The 81-year-old US president acknowledged that he made a mistake by extensively traveling before the debate and has received advice from both friends and foes to drop out of the race for the White House.
During a campaign event in Virginia, Mr. Biden shared with supporters that he disregarded his staff’s advice, traveled around the world multiple times, and ended up almost falling asleep on stage. He confessed that it was not his best night and recognized his performance was subpar.
