Bill Passed to Grant Full Social Security Benefits to Public Sector Retirees

In a decisive vote early Saturday, senators approved bipartisan legislation with a tally of 76-20. This law extends full Social Security benefits to over 2.8 million public pension recipients who presently receive lower payments, enabling them to access benefits at the same rates as other retirees.
