Bitcoin’s Price Reaches $60,000 as It Approaches All-Time High | Latest Business Updates

Bitcoin has reached $60,000 for the first time since November 2021 – bringing the cryptocurrency close to a new all-time high.

Following a steep price drop in late 2022, the digital asset has seen a resurgence, partly attributed to new products in the US that allow investors to participate in Bitcoin’s price movement without owning it directly.

Bitcoin has climbed 37% since the start of the year, and 20% since Saturday.

This puts the largest cryptocurrency on track for its biggest monthly gain since December 2020.

Known for its volatility, data from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority shows that nearly five million Britons have invested in cryptocurrencies, but 45% of them experienced a loss in the year leading up to April 2022.

In terms of British pounds, Bitcoin is currently trading at around £47,500, with a new record being set if it surpasses £54,500.
