Boat Explosion at South Florida Marina Claims One Life and Injures Five

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.—A tragic boat explosion at a marina in South Florida has resulted in one fatality and left five individuals injured, according to authorities.

The incident took place on Monday evening at Lauderdale Marina, as reported in a social media update by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue.

Emergency responders rushed five victims to nearby hospitals, with three reportedly suffering from severe traumatic injuries. Unfortunately, a sixth victim was later discovered deceased in the water by the Broward Sheriff’s Office several hours after the explosion.

Officials from the fire rescue department stated that the cause of the explosion remains unknown at this time.
