A British woman tragically lost her life while vacationing in Texas, according to an inquest.
Lucy Harrison, 23, hailing from Warrington, was discovered deceased at her father’s residence in Prosper, Texas, on January 10.
The inquest into her passing commenced today, revealing that Ms. Harrison was in the US “when she was fatally shot with a firearm”.
The circumstances surrounding Ms. Harrison’s shooting remain unclear, and it is unknown whether a police investigation is currently ongoing.
Her family expressed that she was “truly thriving in life,” emphasizing her “enormous capacity to love and be loved”.
After the hearing, tributes were paid to Ms. Harrison by her mother and boyfriend, through a statement released by the police.
They remarked: “Lucy was life itself. She embraced it fiercely and without fear, ready to experience everything that life had in store.”
“Lucy loved deeply; she had an immense capacity to give and receive love.”
“She was a beautiful contradiction; while she cherished travel and discovering new places and cultures, she equally valued quiet moments at home, enjoying cozy nights in her pajamas with candles lit.”

They added that she was “truly thriving in life,” and while this brings them some comfort, they are “utterly heartbroken at the loss of our beautiful, gorgeous Luce”.
The inquest has been postponed until 28 March.
