Deadly bus accident on Mississippi motorway leaves seven dead and multiple injured, US News reports



Tragedy struck in Mississippi as seven people lost their lives and dozens more were injured in a bus crash.

Among the victims were a six-year-old and a 16-year-old, who are believed to be siblings, after the bus overturned on a major motorway near Bovina in Warren County just before 1am on Saturday morning.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, six passengers were declared dead at the scene, while another passenger passed away in hospital. A total of around 37 people were taken to hospital for treatment.

Reports indicate that no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
