El Salvador’s President Informs Trump of Decision to Detain Kilmar Abrego Garcia

On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele to the Oval Office. In their discussions, Bukele expressed that he would not agree to return a deported illegal immigrant mistakenly sent to El Salvador. He described the request as “preposterous” and stood firm on not sending any criminals back to the United States.
