Elon Musk Pledges to Donate $1 Million Daily to Individual who Signs America PAC’s Petition | US News

Elon Musk has pledged to donate $1 million every day until the US election to someone who signs his online petition.

The CEO of Tesla is supporting America PAC, a political group he established to endorse Donald Trump‘s presidential campaign.

On Twitter, Musk wrote: “Every day, from now until Nov 5, @America PAC will be awarding $1M to a person in swing states who signs our petition to support free speech & the right to bear arms!

“We want to ensure that everyone in swing states is aware of this and I believe this will ensure that they are.”

Reportedly, the first $1 million (£767,000) has already been given to a man named John Dreher during a campaign event in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Mr Dreher expressed his excitement as he received the prize, thanking Musk and stating that he was “ecstatic” about the oversized check.

“Just so you know, John had no clue. Anyway, you’re welcome,” the billionaire remarked.

Musk’s event in Harrisburg marked his third appearance in Pennsylvania in as many days.

He warned the audience that if Kamala Harris wins in the upcoming election, it could potentially be “the last election”, hinting at the country’s potential dissolution.

Musk also suggested that the attempts on Donald Trump’s life indicate he poses a threat to the establishment unlike his rival – further stating that this is why no one has attempted to assassinate her.

“Eliminating a puppet is pointless,” he stated to the audience, echoing a sentiment he previously shared on social media.

Attendees at the Pennsylvania rally were also required to sign the petition, as it allows America PAC to obtain their contact information for potential voting on November 5.

The petition highlights: “The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments.”

Recent polls suggest the outcome of the US election is uncertain, with only a few swing states determining the result.

It has been reported that Musk has already contributed at least $75 million to America PAC, as per federal disclosures, positioning the group as a key supporter of Mr. Trump’s re-election campaign.

However, America PAC has encountered challenges in hiring campaign staff, having terminated two significant contractors since July who were tasked with door-to-door outreach.

America PAC is among the prominent political action committees in the US.

These groups have the ability to raise and spend unlimited funds to support political candidates, with the stipulation that they do not coordinate directly with campaigns or provide financial assistance to them.

If Mr. Trump wins a second term, he has indicated that he will offer Musk a governmental position.
