Elon Musk’s Influence on Donald Trump’s Policies: Exploring the Potential impact on US News

The union of Donald Trump and Elon Musk influenced the 2024 election and their relationship has only grown stronger since.

Musk has been regularly visiting the president-elect’s Florida estate and the two have introduced their families.

He has been involved in phone conversations with world leaders, advised Trump on cabinet selections, and even hosted him at Space X for the Starship rocket launch.

Musk will co-chair the Department of Government Efficiency, with a focus on reducing government expenditures.

How might Musk’s personal beliefs influence Trump’s policies?

Musk’s main concern is pronatalism, a political and personal belief system that emphasizes procreation as humanity’s primary goal.

Musk frequently expresses fears of declining populations on social media, sometimes with an almost obsessive tone.

“Population decline is imminent… Earth is nearly devoid of humans,” he recently stated.

“Instead of instilling fear of pregnancy, we should instill fear of being childless,” he added.

His social media posts on this topic have become more frequent in recent months.

Musk has fathered at least 11 children with three different partners, some of whom have been seen with him at Donald Trump’s residence in recent weeks.

His pro-natalist stance is deeply rooted in his upbringing, particularly his relationship with his father, Errol Musk – an engineer and businessman from South Africa, who maintains a strained relationship with his son.

I interviewed Errol via video call from his home near Cape Town.

“Elon doesn’t impose his views, but he certainly holds opinions,” he remarked.

Errol has his own pro-natalist beliefs, having fathered seven children ranging in age from Elon at 53 to his youngest daughter who is five. He strongly advocates for procreation.

“We’re not here for leisure activities like boating or skiing, but to ensure our continued existence. Declining populations should concern every country, regardless of industry,” he emphasized.

While certain countries face demographic challenges, including the US, UK, and Japan, Errol’s views on selective breeding also come to light during our discussion.

I asked him about a reported comment from Elon to a biographer several years ago, where Musk Jr mentioned, “If each generation of intelligent individuals has fewer offspring, that could be problematic.”

I inquired if this perspective borders on eugenics.

“I wouldn’t classify it as eugenics per se, but every nation practices a form of survival of the fittest,” Errol responded.

He used horse breeding as an analogy to illustrate the concept further.

A more sanitized version of pro-family politics took precedence during the campaign.

At a rally, Donald Trump proclaimed himself “the proponent of fertilization” and pledged to make in-vitro fertilization (IVF) accessible to all in need.

Sky News had the opportunity to visit an IVF clinic in California, a hub for fertility treatments.

Located in the Encino area of Los Angeles, this fertility institute offers gender and eye color selection for babies.

Dr. Jeffrey Steinberg, a pioneer in gender selection, believes President Trump’s promise of free IVF will materialize.

“Donald Trump, for better or worse, tends to honor his commitments. The skepticism around his announcement has diminished as it appears likely to be fulfilled. Fertility centers are preparing for a surge in demand,” he stated.

Elon Musk has also contributed significantly to fertility research funding.

“Musk is a technologically savvy individual, with a knack for success in various fields. Everything he touches seems to prosper,” Dr. Steinberg remarked.

“His technology evolves rapidly, akin to IVF advancements, which he may find appealing.”

While advocating for pronatalism, Musk is managing his complex family dynamics.

Rumors suggest he purchased a large estate outside Austin, Texas, to accommodate some of his children and their mothers, with his own residence just 10 minutes away.

Musk denies these claims.

Nonetheless, he may soon play a role in shaping family policies nationwide.
