Entertainment News: Sophie Turner takes legal action against Joe Jonas, seeks the return of their children to England

Sophie Turner is purportedly taking legal action against Joe Jonas for the repatriation of their two young children to the UK.

The filing alleges the Jonas Brothers singer is refusing to surrender the children’s passports, reported NBC, Sky News’s US partner.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the couple were getting divorced, characterizing the decision as “amicable” and “mutually decided” after “four wonderful years of marriage”.

The court documents, submitted in the Southern District of New York, stated that the couple’s children, born in 2020 and 2022, have been wrongfully retained in New York City since 20 September from their customary residence in England.

The documents mentioned that Turner – known for her portrayal of Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones – and the singer established England as their permanent home in April, partly due to their desire to educate their children in the country.

In May, they moved into a rented property and in July, they made an offer on a permanent home with plans to move in by December, according to the filing.

The couple’s relationship was apparently strained by complicated travel arrangements during the summer.
