Food and Wine Festival Returns to California Adventure

California Adventure’s annual Food and Drink Festival has returned, now through April 25.

The annual springtime event includes outdoor “marketplace” kiosks serving Golden-State-inspired bites and beverages created by Disney and celebrity chefs, including seasonal non-alcoholic drinks along with specialty beer, wine, and cocktails.

To participate, guests must purchase the park’s “sip and savor” pass for $59—shareable among multiple guests—which includes eight opportunities for festival treats around the park including at Disney hotels and Downtown Disney. Alcoholic beverages are not included.

According to park officials, each kiosk is inspired by fresh, California-grown ingredients like avocados, citrus, strawberries, and peppers—including the cocktails. Guests can also find a variety of artisanal cheeses, locally brewed craft beers, and wines from all across the state.

Kiosk options include “LA Style,” featuring favorite southland food truck eats such as tacos, sliders, wings, and beer from “Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo,” and “Nuts About Cheese,” offering nuts and cheeses to pair with any wine or beer.

Some of the park’s attractions will also be revamped for the festivities, including “Soarin Over The World,” which will return to its original California theme flying over idyllic and famous state spots—including Malibu and Napa Valley.

Other entertainment around the park includes live music, special “activity zones” for kids featuring arts and crafts, and culinary demonstrations from skilled chefs, available Friday through Sunday only.

For guests 21 and up, bookable experiences include wine tastings paired with small plates at the park’s Carthay Circle restaurant, mixology classes, beer tastings, and dozens of alcoholic beverage seminars.

Guests don’t need to purchase a park ticket to enjoy the festivities, as the neighboring Downtown Disney shopping area will also offer select festival-inspired dishes at Naples Ristorante E Bar, Ballast Point Brewing Co., Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, and Splitsville Luxury Lanes. A full list of the district’s festival attractions is available on the park’s website.
