Former NFL Defensive Back Richard Sherman’s Home Burglarized at Gunpoint
The 2014 Super Bowl champions are reaching out to the public for assistance in locating the armed intruders, after releasing photos and video of the break-in incident.
Former NFL player Richard Sherman is the most recent professional athlete to experience a home burglary, as three armed men invaded his Washington home while his family was inside.
“This was a terrifying situation that my wife managed expertly, ensuring the safety of our kids. If anyone has any information that could help locate these individuals, please get in touch.”
In a now-deleted Instagram Story, Sherman’s wife, Ashley Moss, recounted the frightening experience but assured that their family is “physically okay.”
“Waking up to find intruders outside your bedroom with a gun is something no one should ever have to endure,” she wrote. “As I said, they picked the wrong people! We WILL find you!”
The details regarding what items were stolen from the Sherman residence remain unclear.
Sherman had a stellar 11-season career in the NFL, where he secured a Super Bowl title with the Seattle Seahawks in 2014.
During his decade-long tenure, he became a three-time first-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowl defensive back with the Seattle Seahawks, as well as the San Francisco 49ers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Epoch Times contacted the King County Sheriff’s Office for more information regarding the burglary but had not received a response by the time of publication.
