Formerly Used Research Chimpanzees Relocating to Sanctuary in Louisiana

The National Institutes of Health has made the decision to transfer approximately twenty retired research chimpanzees from a facility in New Mexico to a sanctuary in Louisiana. This move has been welcomed by animal advocates who have been advocating for the relocation of these animals for an extended period of time.
