Friends anniversary auction features memorabilia including Matthew Perry’s jumper and Central Perk couch

Auction commemorating the 30th anniversary of Friends sees a jumper worn by the late Matthew Perry sold for over six times its estimated value.

Costumes, furniture, and props from the show were also featured, with the top-selling item being a studio-made replica of the Central Perk orange sofa, where many iconic scenes took place.

The sofa sold for $29,250 (£22,000) – nearly 15 times its original estimate.

Another highlight was a teal jumper worn by Perry’s character in an episode of Friends, which fetched $6,500 (£4,900) – more than six times the estimated value.

Other items sold at the auction included a pink outfit worn by Winona Ryder and a white dress shirt worn by Bruce Willis, both from memorable episodes of the show.
