Harvey Weinstein hospitalized upon return to prison | Entertainment & Arts Update

The attorney representing Harvey Weinstein has confirmed that the former movie producer has been hospitalized after being returned to a prison in New York.

This development comes shortly after Weinstein’s 2020 rape conviction was overturned, leading to a new trial being ordered by a New York court in the high-profile “MeToo” case.

Arthur Aidala, Weinstein’s lawyer, stated that his client was transferred to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan upon his arrival at the city’s prison system on Friday.

“They evaluated his condition and sent him to Bellevue. It appears that he is in need of significant medical assistance. He is facing numerous health issues and undergoing various tests. His health seems to be quite fragile,” Mr. Aidala commented.

At the moment, there has been no response from the hospital to requests for comment. Inquiries have also been made to the city and state corrections offices.
