Hate crime charges have not been filed in the shooting of a Jewish man in Chicago as of now.

Authorities in Chicago have not disclosed the citizenship of an individual who allegedly shot a Jewish man heading to a synagogue recently, or the language used during the altercation with law enforcement and other first responders.
