Here’s a Look at the Performers for Trump’s Inauguration Events
The inauguration of the once-and-future President-elect Donald Trump is scheduled for January 20 at the U.S. Capitol steps.
Trump’s team has organized several additional events to commemorate his ceremonial swearing-in, featuring renowned musical performers at each event.
On January 15, Trump’s team unveiled the lineup of artists.
Eight-time Grammy Award winner and former American Idol contestant Carrie Underwood will perform “America the Beautiful” just before Trump takes the oath of office.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood stated on January 13.
Known for her apolitical stance throughout her career, Underwood’s acceptance of the invitation garnered some attention.

On an episode of ABC’s “The View,” several hosts expressed skepticism about Underwood’s choice to perform at Trump’s inauguration, though comedian Whoopi Goldberg—a Trump critic—offered her support.
“I stand behind her,” Goldberg remarked.
“If I believe I have the right to choose where to perform, I trust others feel the same.”
Christopher Macchio, from the classical crossover ensemble New York Tenors, is also slated to sing the National Anthem.
Country music star Lee Greenwood is anticipated to conclude the official Capitol events.
His song “God Bless the U.S.A”—also called “I’m Proud to be an American”—became a familiar tune at Trump’s rallies leading up to the election.
The beloved disco group Village People will perform at the “Make America Great Again” victory rally at Capitol One Arena in D.C. on January 19.
Their popular track “YMCA” was frequently played during Trump’s rallies.
The band members expressed their hope that their music would foster unity across the nation, despite their “preferred candidate losing.”
They plan to perform alongside multi-platinum artist Kid Rock and country musician Billy Ray Cyrus, known for “Achy-Breaky Heart.”
Greenwood will also perform again at this event.
The Liberty University Praise Choir, a gospel group from Virginia, will also take the stage.
Trump is anticipated to address attendees at three inaugural balls on the evening of January 20, each featuring additional performances.
Jason Aldean, who gained fame with “Try That in a Small Town,” will take the stage at the Liberty Ball, where the Village People will perform again.
The Trump team has also revealed a surprise mystery guest for this venue.
The Commander-in-Chief Ball, an event honoring the military, will showcase performances by popular country group Rascal Flatts and singer-songwriter Parker McCollum.
Country artist Gavin DeGraw will close out the festivities at the final event, the Starlight Ball.
