Home Alone Film’s Iconic House Hits Market for More Than $5 Million | US News
The famous house from the classic Christmas movie where Kevin McCallister was left Home Alone is now up for sale.
This five-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion located in Winnetka, Illinois is on the market for $5.25 million (£4.1 million).
According to American estate agents Zillow, this is the first time the property has been for sale since 2012.
Since the release of the beloved 1990 film directed by Chris Columbus, the house has undergone extensive renovations.
The current owners have expanded the living space by adding a large conservatory and a state-of-the-art basketball court, as showcased in a walkthrough by estate agents The Dawn Mckenna Group.
The house, known as “one of the most famous houses in the world,” also boasts two living rooms, a spacious kitchen, a three-car garage, and the iconic staircase down which a 10-year-old Macaulay Culkin rode a sled.
In 2021, Home Alone fans had the opportunity to stay at the house through an exclusive one-night listing on Airbnb.
