Hunter Biden Receives Pardon from President Biden

President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he has granted his son Hunter Biden “a full and unconditional pardon.”

President Joe Biden revealed on Dec. 1 that he has issued “a full and unconditional pardon” for his son Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden faced nine counts of federal tax evasion totaling $1.4 million from 2016 to 2019. He admitted guilt to the tax charges in September as part of a plea agreement.

“Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter. Since taking office, I have pledged not to intervene in the Justice Department’s decisions, and I have stayed true to my word even as my son has been unfairly targeted and prosecuted,” the outgoing president stated.

“It is evident that Hunter received different treatment, as individuals are rarely prosecuted for minor errors on a gun form without additional factors. Those with tax payment delays due to serious issues, but who later paid with additional fees, typically receive non-criminal resolutions. Hunter’s situation was handled unjustly.”

The president asserted that the charges against his son were instigated by his political opponents in Congress to undermine him and discourage support in the 2020 election.

He claimed that political pressure from opponents during the legal process derailed the carefully negotiated plea agreement.

“If the plea agreement had held, it would have offered a fair and reasonable resolution for Hunter’s cases,” the president remarked.

“Based on the facts of Hunter’s situations, it is evident that he was unfairly targeted solely because of his relation to me—this is unacceptable.

“I have had enough.

“While I respect the justice system, I also acknowledge that political motives have tainted the legal proceedings, resulting in an injustice. Once I reached this decision over the weekend, further delay was unwarranted. I trust that Americans will comprehend why a father and a President would reach this verdict.”
