Hurricane Rafael Rapidly Gains Strength and Moves towards Cuba and Gulf of Mexico

The National Hurricane Center reported that Hurricane Rafael was intensifying as it moved towards western Cuba on Wednesday. The storm was expected to reach major hurricane status before making landfall on the Caribbean island later in the day.
