Illness forces Adele to postpone Las Vegas residency dates due to toll on voice
Adele has had to postpone her Las Vegas residency next month due to illness.
The singer shared the news on social media, apologizing to fans for the inconvenience and revealing that she had not fully recovered after falling ill at the end of the last leg of her Weekends With Adele residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
The 35-year-old rescheduled all five weekends in March but assured her followers that they would receive new dates soon.
“Unfortunately, I have to put a pause on my Vegas residency,” Adele’s post stated.
“I was sick at the end of the last leg and throughout my break.
“I didn’t have enough time to fully recover before the shows resumed and now I’m sick again, which has taken a toll on my voice.
“Therefore, on doctors’ orders, I have to rest completely. The remaining five weekends of this leg will be postponed to a later date.”
In a message to her fans, the Set Fire to the Rain star expressed her love and how much she will miss them.
This is the second time the Tottenham-born star has rescheduled Las Vegas show dates.
The January 2022 residency start was unexpectedly postponed due to COVID and eventually ran from November 2022 to March 2023.
The second leg concluded last November, but Adele felt that performing for 4,000 people for 34 nights was “not sufficient” and announced an extension to the residency.
In addition to the 10 rescheduled dates, Adele has five more weekends lined up in Vegas in May and June.

The Grammy winner recently revealed that she will be performing in Europe for the first time since 2016, with four nights scheduled in Germany for August.
In a move she described as “a bit unexpected”, Adele will be taking the stage at Munich’s Messe exhibition centre, which can hold up to 80,000 people.
Her last UK performance was in July 2022 at the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park.
