Joe Biden cancels speech after testing positive for COVID-19 | US News
Joe Biden has had to cancel a campaign speech after contracting COVID.
The US president was scheduled to give a speech to UnidosUS – the largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the country – in Las Vegas later today.
Mr Biden is currently experiencing mild symptoms, the White House stated, and will be returning to Delaware to self-isolate.
He was not wearing a mask when he boarded Air Force One on Wednesday.
When asked by the media about his health, he replied: “Good. I feel good.”
He then ascended the stairs of Air Force One cautiously.
An official mentioned that Biden exhibited upper respiratory symptoms this afternoon, including a runny nose and cough.
The president has been vaccinated and received a booster shot, they added.
