John Lennon’s Son Undergoes Emergency Surgery for Cancer | Entertainment & Arts News
Julian Lennon, the son of John Lennon, recently underwent emergency surgery following a cancer diagnosis.
The musician and photographer mentioned that the procedure lasted seven hours after he discovered a mole on his arm.
At 61 years old, he encouraged his social media followers to “please get yourself checked out by your doctor”.

In a message on X, Julian shared that his dermatologist advised him he “should be operated on ASAP” due to safety concerns over the skin concerns on his shoulder and forearm, one being melanoma.
He credited “Dr Tess” for previously “saving his life” during a cancer scare in 2020.
After a routine visit in Los Angeles, he flew to New York for various events, but quickly received a message instructing him to return “with some urgency”.
Julian stated: “So instead of going home to set up my Christmas tree and finish the year off peacefully, I flew straight back to Los Angeles once I completed my work in New York, and went directly from LAX airport to surgery with a surgeon recommended by Dr Tess.”
“The operation went well, but we have yet to receive the biopsy results, which might not come before Christmas.”

He expressed gratitude, stating: “I am very grateful to Dr Tess and Dr Tim for coordinating this surgery on such short notice and for potentially saving my life once more.”
“While confidence is tricky in situations like this, we all believe Dr Tim has really come through… Fingers crossed for the time being.”
Julian added: “Good news would be the best Christmas gift ever… and I’m holding on to hope…
“This serves as an important reminder for everyone to get checked out by your doctor… it’s a quick process that could save your life in the long run… for you, your family, and your friends, please visit your doctor and take the necessary steps…
“I cherish my life and aim to live it fully, and this is one choice that could shape my future…

In February 2020, Lennon disclosed that he had a mole on his head, which he had for his entire life, removed after it was found to be cancerous through a biopsy.
