Judge Orders Intelligence Employees to Remain on Administrative Leave
Employees were provided with resignation choices following Trump’s directive aimed at DEI.
ALEXANDRIA, Va.—On March 31, a federal judge mandated that the Trump administration maintain a group of intelligence community employees on administrative leave.
The administration had presented some employees with various resignation options after President Donald Trump enacted an executive order addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
During a court session in Alexandria, Virginia, U.S. District Judge Anthony Trenga partially approved the plaintiffs’ request for a preliminary injunction, indicating that they would suffer irreparable harm without such an order.
Kevin Carroll, an attorney representing the plaintiffs, argued before the judge that Trump had slandered the employees by implying they engaged in illegal activities.
