Kash Patel Appointed as FBI Director; Federal Judge Denies Attempt to Halt Trump’s Mass Layoffs



The Senate has confirmed Kash Patel as the new FBI director following a close 51–49 vote. Notably, Republican Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski voted alongside Democrats against his confirmation.
