Madonna calls out seated concertgoer, only to realize they are in a wheelchair | Entertainment & Arts Update
During one of her recent concerts, Madonna mistakenly berated a fan for sitting down, only to realize afterwards that the fan was in a wheelchair.
A video posted online captured the moment when the 65-year-old singer paused during a show at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California.
“What are you doing sitting down over there?” she shouted. “What are you doing sitting down?”
Approaching the stage edge, Madonna then recognized that the fan she had called out was a wheelchair user.
“Oh, Okay… Politically incorrect, sorry about that,” Madonna said. “I’m glad you’re here.”
The video has garnered over 2.7 million views so far.
Madonna is currently on her 80-date worldwide The Celebration Tour and recently performed at LA’s Kia Forum, with one more show scheduled for Monday.
The wheelchair incident occurred during Thursday night’s concert, where Madonna also shared the stage with another music icon for the first time.
The singer invited Kylie Minogue to perform together, singing the hit Can’t Get You Out of My Head and a cover of Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive.
Madonna later posted footage of the moment on Instagram for fans who couldn’t attend the concert.

Madonna captioned the Instagram post: “Couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate International Woman’s Day [.] then to sing with Kylie Minogue.” [sic]
Meanwhile, Minogue, 55, wrote on X: “MADONNA It’s been a long time coming!!! LOVED being with you!!!!
“Celebration Tour AND it is now International Women’s Day… THANK YOU and LOVE LOVE LOVE.”
