Michael Douglas, Eva Longoria and Other Celebrities Support LA Fire Relief Initiatives
Jamie Lee Curtis, Paris Hilton, and the rock band Metallica have also expressed their support in the wake of the devastating wildfires.
Some of Hollywood’s most prominent figures are coming together to support those affected by the wildfires that are ravaging Southern California.
Stars like Eva Longoria, Beyoncé, Michael Douglas, Paris Hilton, and the legendary rock band Metallica have made donations to fire relief initiatives after several fires erupted in the Los Angeles region last week.
According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the two largest blazes—the Palisades Fire and the Eaton Fire—have already engulfed over 37,000 acres of land.
“My husband, our children, and I are pledging $1 million from our Family Foundation to launch a support fund for our wonderful city and state, as well as the incredible people who reside here,” the 66-year-old shared.
“I am in dialogue with Governor Newsom, Mayor Bass, and Senator Schiff about where those funds can be directed for maximum impact.”
Paris Hilton, who experienced the loss of her $8.4 million residence in Malibu due to one of the fires, announced her own contributions on January 10.
The television personality revealed that she would help provide emergency relief for young families and their pets.
“Although I’ve lost my Malibu home, my concern lies with the numerous families who have lost far more—their homes, treasured possessions, the communities they cherished, and their sense of security,” she expressed.
“As a mother, I can’t fathom the fear and sorrow of not having a safe haven for your children, so I’m initiating an emergency fund through my nonprofit, 11:11 Media Impact, to assist displaced families with young kids.”
Hilton announced she would personally match the first $100,000 raised for the campaign, which has so far collected over $184,000.
“I urge others to contribute and match my donation to help make a difference!” she wrote.

Douglas, 80, informed that he has requested The Douglas Foundation board to make a donation to the humanitarian organization, which he said he would match “to help initiate support.”
“This is a nightmarish tragedy exceeding anything I could have imagined,” the actor lamented.
“It transcends blue states and red states, Republicans and Democrats. This is about humanity, and it is a significant crisis. So please, contribute in whatever way you can to help everyone in need.”
Actress Eva Longoria, 49, also expressed her support for farm workers in Los Angeles.
The “Desperate Housewives” star announced she is matching $50,000 in donations to the nonprofit This Is About Humanity to assist essential workers, farm laborers, and families affected by the fires.
“I hope we can unite and support these resilient members of our community. Please share, repost, or donate if you can.”

Pop icon Beyoncé, 43, has contributed $2.5 million to the newly established LA Fire Relief Fund, initiated by her charity, BeyGOOD.
According to BeyGOOD, this significant donation will assist those affected by the Eaton Fire, including families who have lost their homes and local churches and community centers.
As the wildfires rage on, the Grammy Award-winning rock band Metallica has provided support to both the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund and the Pasadena Community Foundation’s Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund.
The band, led by James Hetfield, announced on Monday that they have pledged $500,000 to the relief efforts through their charity, All Within My Hands Foundation.
“However, statistics cannot fully convey the extent of the tragedy as the disaster disrupts families and dismantles livelihoods.”
