Mysterious Drone Swarms Appear in Maryland
“The American people deserve immediate answers and actions,” stated Maryland Governor Larry Hogan.
The enigmatic drone swarms observed in New Jersey over the last month have now reached Maryland, as confirmed by an unnamed FBI official during a press call on December 14.
“Like many others who have seen these drones, I am uncertain whether this escalating activity in our skies poses a threat to public safety or national security,” Hogan remarked in an accompanying message.
“The government has the capability to trace these from their point of origin but has exhibited a negligent response. Citizens rightfully demand answers but have not received any.”
While some X users speculated that the lights in Hogan’s video could be stars in the Orion constellation, an FBI official clarified in an interagency press conference over the weekend that drone sightings have indeed extended to Maryland, though they did not confirm a direct link to the initial New Jersey reports.
“There’s no confirmation that any of those [initial reports] are associated with what’s being observed across the country or at other locations,” the official stated.
“I don’t wish to incite alarm or panic, but we cannot overlook the sightings that have been reported, and we share the concerns of all residents in New Jersey,” he continued.
The FBI is currently conducting an ongoing investigation into the origins of these sightings.
In his Friday post, Hogan criticized the federal government’s response regarding public reports of supposed drone activity.
“We are being informed that neither the White House, the military, the FBI, nor Homeland Security have any knowledge about their origin or who might be launching or controlling them—and that they are deemed a non-threat,” Hogan stated.
“Such a response is completely unacceptable. I stand in agreement with the growing bipartisan chorus of leaders calling for the federal government to address this issue immediately.
“The American people need answers and action now.”
