NASA Astronaut Discharged from Hospital Following Space Mission

The space agency announced that a NASA astronaut who was briefly hospitalized after returning from space has now been released. NASA’s Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, and Jeanette Epps, along with Russia’s Alexander Grebenkin, were taken to the hospital for additional medical checks after landing in the Gulf of Mexico off the Florida coast in a SpaceX capsule.

Three of the astronauts were discharged and returned to Houston. However, one NASA astronaut stayed for observation due to an undisclosed medical issue. To respect patient privacy, NASA did not reveal the identity of the astronaut or provide specific information about their condition, only stating that they are in “good health” and will soon resume normal post-flight activities with the rest of the crew.

The crew had originally arrived at the International Space Station in March and were supposed to return to Earth two months ago. However, their return was postponed due to delays with Boeing’s Starliner astronaut capsule and Hurricane Milton.
