New Fire Risk Maps Released for Central California




Recently, updated fire-hazard severity maps were released for 15 counties in California’s Central Valley. These maps have expanded the areas under the jurisdiction of local fire departments to include thousands of acres in agricultural regions that previously had no designated fire zones, according to a report by the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday.
