New York City Approves the First-Ever National Congestion Toll

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has approved a new $9 congestion mitigation charge for driving in Manhattan, effective from January 5th. The objective of this move is to generate funds for mass transit and reduce traffic congestion.
