New York Judge Schedules Trump’s Sentencing for January 10
The bid by President-elect Donald Trump to dismiss the case has been denied by New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan.
On January 3rd, New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan ruled against President-Elect Donald Trump’s motion to dismiss the business records case, scheduling sentencing for January 10.
“This Court concludes that the vacatur of the jury’s verdicts and the dismissal of the indictment are not mandated by the doctrines of Presidential immunity, the Presidential Transition Act, or the Supremacy Clause,” Merchan stated.
