Ohio Police Open Homicide Investigation Following Discovery of Three Women’s Bodies in Residence
COLUMBUS, Ohio—Ohio authorities have initiated a homicide investigation following the discovery of three women’s bodies in a Columbus residence on Saturday.
Emergency services were dispatched to a house on the city’s south side just before 4 p.m. on Saturday, responding to a 911 call indicating a medical situation. Upon arrival, officers discovered three women who were declared dead at the scene, as reported by police spokesperson Sgt. James Fuqua.
He confirmed that the incidents are being treated as homicides, although he did not provide additional details regarding the circumstances leading to the deaths.
“Regrettably, we face a highly complicated scene considering the number of victims involved,” Fuqua informed reporters on Saturday. “The investigation will take a bit longer as we need to meticulously comb through the scene to ensure we do not overlook any vital evidence.”
He mentioned that investigators are currently interviewing witnesses and seeking out video surveillance footage.
As of Saturday, Fuqua stated that no suspects had been apprehended.
As of Sunday, Columbus police did not provide any updates regarding the homicide investigation.
