Celebrities such as Beyonce, Eva Longoria, and Jamie Lee Curtis have committed funds to assist families impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles, including Paris Hilton, who has tragically lost her home.
The wildfires that broke out in the Pacific Palisades and nearby regions last week have destroyed countless properties and claimed at least 24 lives.
US reality star and entrepreneur Hilton has initiated an emergency fund to support displaced families, kickstarting it with a personal donation of $100,000 (£82,000).
The 43-year-old, who saw her Malibu home “burn to the ground” while watching the news coverage, has also been collaborating with animal welfare organizations. She shared on social media her commitment to foster a dog that lost its family home due to the fires.

“Though I’ve lost my Malibu residence, my heart aches for the numerous families who have suffered even greater losses – their homes, treasured mementos, the communities they cherished, and their sense of security,” Hilton expressed in a social media statement.
Beyonce has generously contributed $2.5 million to a newly established LA Fire Relief Fund created by her charity, BeyGOOD.
“This fund will support families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who have lost their homes, as well as churches and community centers helping to meet the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires,” the organization declared.

Additionally, Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mother, lost her Malibu bungalow in the fires.
“It was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred happy place,” she posted on Instagram. “Now it is no more. Bless all the courageous men and women in our fire service who risked their lives under perilous conditions.”
Other celebrities who have made substantial donations include Longoria and her organization, the Screen Actors Guild, the Recording Academy, along with Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis and her family – each contributing $1 million (£819,000).
Prince Harry and Meghan are reported to have donated clothing, children’s necessities, and other essential items, and were seen making a surprise visit to distribute food to evacuees in Pasadena.

Notable actors such as Mel Gibson, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, Billy Crystal, Jamie Chung, and Bryan Greenberg are also reported to have lost their homes, including talk show host Ricki Lake and reality television stars Spencer and Heidi Pratt.

These wildfires threatening the Los Angeles area coincide with the beginning of Hollywood’s awards season.
The Oscars organizers have delayed the nominations announcement twice, with the current plan to unveil the shortlists set for January 23, and the annual luncheon preceding the ceremony has been cancelled.
The event is still aimed to occur on March 2. Similarly, the Grammys, scheduled for February 2, are also reportedly still planned to take place.
