A bullet struck a passenger plane near the cockpit as it was getting ready for takeoff at an airport in Dallas.
The Southwest Airlines jet was hit on the right side just below the flight deck at around 8.30pm local time on Friday (2.30am Saturday UK time).

Passengers safely disembarked from the commercial plane as it was brought back to the gate at Dallas Love Field Airport in Texas, with arrangements for another flight for them.
No injuries were reported in the incident involving a Boeing 737-800 aircraft that sustained some damage during taxiing.
The jet was on its way to Indianapolis International Airport when the shooting occurred.
In a social media update, Dallas Love Field Airport mentioned that the city’s police department responded, and runway 13R/31L was temporarily closed but reopened later that night with minimal impact on operations.
According to a spokesperson from Southwest Airlines, the “bullet apparently hit the right side of the aircraft just below the flight deck”.
