Passengers kicked off Heathrow flight following altercation over Trump MAGA hat | US News

According to The Sun, a fight broke out between two women at Heathrow Airport over a Make America Great Again (MAGA) cap. The American passengers were waiting to board a flight in Terminal 5 when one asked the other to remove the red hat worn by supporters of Donald Trump. When the woman wearing the cap refused, punches were exchanged, and both women were later escorted off the flight.

The Metropolitan Police received a report of the incident shortly after 12.45pm on Monday, with both women making counter allegations of affray.

Sky News has reached out to BA for comment. The altercation caused the flight bound for Texas to depart two hours late, as reported by The Sun.

MAGA caps have been associated with Mr. Trump since his first presidential campaign in 2016. Tensions between supporters of the Republican presidential candidate and his Democratic rival US Vice President Kamala Harris are escalating with the US election approaching on 5 November.
