Pennsylvania man passes away decades after being mistakenly attacked with a baseball bat | US News
A man who was beaten with a baseball bat 38 years ago has died, in a case ruled as homicide in the US state of Pennsylvania.
Craig Tschudy passed away at a care home in Dallastown at the age of 64 on 5 June after sustaining a diffuse traumatic brain injury in York, which is located 100 miles west of Philadelphia, when he was 26.
It is believed that Mr Tschudy was mistakenly assaulted, and despite city police investigating the attack, they were unable to identify any of the assailants, as per the county coroner’s office.

Although no charges have been filed, the case will be classified as a homicide due to the injuries eventually leading to Tschudy’s death 38 years later, with no statute of limitations in coroner cases, according to the York County Coroner’s Office statement.
The office also mentioned that there will not be a post-mortem examination and Mr Tschudy’s next of kin had been notified of his passing.
